#!etsyhacks

These stylesheets are just examples of the sorts of customisations you can make. If the words "stylesheet" and "CSS" mean nothing to you, you can learn more about them at W3Schools, or talk to your local web guru about the customisations you'd like to make.

For each of these, you can paste the link to the stylesheet into the "Stylesheet URL" box, or paste the contents of the stylesheet into the "CSS" box of the "print-friendly receipt style settings" box. (See the "installation and operation instructions" for further details.)

See notes on page setup for some information about getting background images to print, and for customising the page headers and footers.

You can use the @media print CSS selector to only apply changes to the printed version (not the version on screen). See the "compress" example for an illustration.

acme

This is a very simple-looking receipt style. It removes a lot of the extraneous information, and condenses the receipt down a good deal.

Key features:

  • Replaces the Etsy logo with yours (well, with Acme's in the example).
  • Hides all the spacer rows.
  • Hides the item images, to save some ink.
  • Hides the buyer and seller info, section headings, payment details, and notes.
  • Changes the colour scheme to black and white.
compress

This keeps much of the look and feel of the Etsy receipt, but condenses things down a lot.

Key features:

  • Removes the Etsy image at the top.
  • Removes much of the white space padding.
  • Removes the grey borders, so things don't seem too cramped when you remove all the white space.
  • Makes the images in the items table smaller.
  • Makes the font size smaller across the whole document.
  • Hides the "view original" link in the printed version, but keeps it in the on-screen version.
