Install

When you start a convo from the receipt page (using the buyer info or contact buyer hacks), this hack adds "Etsy order #123456" to the subject, and a link to the receipt to the body of the message.

This hack was originally suggested by Carol Bradley.

installation and operation
  • Install Firefox and Greasemonkey if you haven't already got them. You'll need to restart Firefox after installing Greasemonkey.
  • Once Greasemonkey is installed and running, if you don't already have it, install the buyer info hack and/or the contact buyer hack.
  • Then, follow this link (or click on the orange "install" button above).
  • The "order convo enhancer" script will be downloaded, and Greasemonkey will ask if you want to install it. Assuming you trust me, click "Install".
  • Go to one of your receipts. The buyer info box will have a link to start a new convo - click it.
  • A new convo screen will appear, with the order number in the subject box and a link to the receipt in the message.
