Install

This hack extracts the "message from the buyer" (if any) from each order and displays it on the Sold Orders page, underneath the order's section, so you're less likely to miss important requests from your customers.

installation and operation
  • Install Firefox and Greasemonkey if you haven't already got them. You'll need to restart Firefox after installing Greasemonkey.
  • Once Greasemonkey is installed and running, follow this link (or click on the orange "install" button above).
  • The "buyer notes" script will be downloaded, and Greasemonkey will ask if you want to install it. Assuming you trust me, click "Install".
  • Go to your "sold orders" page - a bar will appear under each order, with "Notes from buyer: loading", which will be replaced by the notes (if any) when the hack has found them.

customising the message colour

The default colour for the message is a nice, bright, eye-catching red. You can change it to whatever colour you prefer.

  • Go to "Tools > Greasemonkey > User Script Commands > Set buyer note colour".
  • Enter a colour in the box. You can use colour names, or RGB hex values (e.g. "#ff0000"), or leave it blank for the default grey colour.
  • Hit OK and the page will reload with new new colour set for the note.
